​Per COVID safety protocols, we are selling the house to only 60% capacity, including a portion held for Radical Hospitality day-of-show seats. Purchasing early is the only way to guarantee a seat in the theatre for these performances.

This video streaming option will feature a recording of a live performance as though the viewer is in the audience from a fixed seat location. Please note, this is not a film and will not offer Hamilton on Disney+-style movie angles, editing, or close-ups.

As always, approximately 1/4 of tickets for each show will be available for free!

In-Person Shows - Radical Hospitality tickets are available for 90 minutes before showtime at the box office on a first come, first serve basis.

Video Streams - A Radical Hospitality RSVP option will open here approximately 24 hours before each show time. RSVPs will receive an email link to view the video.

​IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PATRONS

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS
TheatreMidwest is committed to protecting the health and safety of our patrons and company members. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By obtaining a ticket and entering the Viking Theatre and its facilities, guests, volunteers, and staff voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. 

In accordance with our lease, TheatreMidwest supports and conforms to Grand View University’s Covid-19 protocols and policies, which are viewable HERE.

We have drawn upon guidelines suggested by local, state, and federal agencies, experts, and associations, as well as common sense.  PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING PROTOCOLS.
  •  Please do not come to the theatre if you are feeling unwell, have been unwell in the past 14 days, have been recently diagnosed with COVID-19, or are awaiting a COVID-19 test result. The show is available to stream at home.
  • Guests are required to please correctly wear CDC approved/recommended masks covering nose and mouth in all locations in the Viking Theater and adjacent spaces, even when seated and even if vaccinated. Reserving a ticket confirms that you and everyone in your party understand and will abide by this policy or will leave the premises. 
  • Seating is general admission, but patrons will please maintain sufficient distance between parties
  • The house will be sold to 60% capacity.​ This limited seating, combined with strategically arranged and controlled seat options, will create sufficiently-distanced spacing among patrons.
  • Patrons should observe CDC guidelines for social distancing in the lobbies and bathrooms.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at locations around the venue..
  • Playbills are entirely digital. Links to view or download will be included on video link emails and on our website. In the lobby, a posted QR code will take you to the playbill on your phone and a poster copy will be available to view.
  • We do not sell concessions.
  • Patrons are strictly prohibited from entering any backstage areas under any circumstances, without exception.  Company members can be greeted in the lobby or outdoor landing when they have completed their duties and come out from the stage/house area.
Our Staff
  • All TheatreMidwest company members who are performing, working backstage, or interacting with patrons are fully vaccinated.
  • Actors performing in the production will NOT wear masks.
  • Production and Audience Services Staff WILL wear masks when in contact with patrons.
  • If a guest cannot attend in-person because of feeling unwell, being exposed to, or being diagnosed with COVID-19, we will issue a link to view a video stream for the date of the patron’s preference for no additional cost.
USING THE VIDEO STREAMING OPTION
Approximately 12 to 24 hours prior to the performance, you will receive a link to the online streaming broadcast page and other information. Remember to check your Spam and Promotions folders when looking for the link. More information or questions?  Email us HERE.

  • ADA Access Seating or Questions?  After completing your order, you will arrive at a "transaction success" page where you can indicate needs in this regard.

  • All advanced tickets must be purchased and paid for online.  No phone orders will be accepted.
  • Tickets purchased at the door at performance time can be paid for via credit card or cash (no checks accepted)
  • You will receive a confirmation receipt by email via Paypal from TheatreMidwest, which may take several minutes to arrive. Please check your spam folders if you do not see the confirmation.
  • Your credit card receipt will list payment to "TheatreMidwest."​
DAY OF SHOW REMINDERS
  • You can check in by name at the Viking, but please have your PayPal confirmation number handy--printed or on your phone. No other tickets will be issued. 
  • The house will open 20-30 minutes prior to curtain time. 
  • All seating is general admission, but guests are reminded to adhere to the prescribed seating arrangements employed to maintain correct distance between parties. .
USING RADICAL HOSPITALITY
For In-Person Shows -
  • RH Tickets are available at the box office beginning 90 minutes before curtain time (6:00 evenings, 12:30 matinees)
  • Distributed on a first come-first served basis
  • Your name and contact information will be required at that time.
  • Maximum of 2 tickets per person present to receive them. 
  • House opens for seating approximately 20-30 minutes prior to curtain time.
  • All seats (paid or free) are General Admission. Patrons should adhere to the prescribed seating arrangements employed to maintain correct distance between parties .
  • When Radical Hospitality tickets have all been dispersed for a performance, you may still purchase General Admission tickets on site at the Viking if they are available.
